Forming a company

We form companies for our clients where appropriate. The decision on whether to form a company usually depends on two main factors, taxation and risk.

Forming a Limited Company

We can form a company for you for £90 plus £10 per director per shareholder and this can usually be done within a few days. This price includes the main statutory records a company is required to keep unlike some cheaper offers which do not.

Company Registration

We can register the company for Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT purposes. The price is £55 for each of these 3 items depending on what you require.

Company Secretarial Service

We can also undertake your company secretarial work and make your statutory returns each year. The Annual Return costs £57 per year.

Company Accounts and Company Tax Returns

Abbreviated company accounts usually need to be submitted to Companies House within 9 months of the year end. Company Tax Returns should be submitted within 12 months of the end of the accounting period and any Corporation tax should be paid within 9 months of the end of the accounting period.

Company Tax Returns

Companies are taxed in a different way to the self-employed and partnerships. The director of a company is employed by the company which is a separate legal entity. The director will be subject to PAYE and pay tax and national insurance on earnings. Dividends are the usual method for distributing profits to directors and shareholders as this can save national insurance. The company itself is liable to corporation tax on profits. The cost of a basic Company Tax Return is £95 per year.

Drawing money out of your company

We provide advice on request on the different methods of drawing funds out of companies and advise on which methods are likely to be best for you. Advice on drawings costs around £110 but you would normally hope to save much more than this in tax.
